WD allowed me to track the tornado of April 27th that devasted the Wren and Smithville communities in Mississippi. I tracking the tornado which passed 6 miles north of my location when we experienced an extended power outage, however, I was able to determine that the tornado was going to miss where I live. Great program.

I have subscribed to WD since near the past 5 or so years.  I absolutley LOVE it!!  In fact, I tell everyone they should subscribe.

Just this past May...I run a BBQ Festival / Competition in Chicagoland similar to what you would see on the Food Network.  I saw some interesting weather heading in and immediatley loged on to WD.  What I did notice was a massive hook echo heading directly at us.  This storm was dumping 4+ inches of rain, 70+ MPH winds, plenty of cloud to ground lightning and .5 inch hail.  I was able to predict to within 5 minutes of when it was going to hit.  Just a side note:  I predicted the STSW an hour before the NWS issued it!!!

To make a long story short, as it neared our location, I told everyone to get under cover to protect themselves.  The storm hit, not quite as powerful as predicted.  So, I feel due to my use of WD, I potentially saved hundreds of lives that day.

THANK YOU WD!!!  I will be linking this on my FB page at http://www.facebook.com/chrissvitak

I love tracking storms and being "in the know" to be able to warn family and friends of pending weather threats. If this is not a sufficient response for this contest, then I don't know what is.

I started using Rory Weather tracking software years ago in Georgia, at that time I used a modem connected to my phone then my laptop, it was very slow connection, But Rory's program showed all the Tornadoes that were forming all over Atlanta and the perimeter, We lived in Newnan, One of my techs lived in an area that was shown to have a tornadoe in Carrolton, Ga, but Rory's program warned me to call him, also Myself trying to get home in Newnan, I was able to dodge them Thanks to his program back then, So hats of to Rory for a great software.

I enjoyed trying out the Weather Defender program trial, and i used all the options in trial. The GPS hookup was great once i found which one would work, out of the two units i have here. microsoft Street & Trip with GPS model GPS 500 SiRF III worked with your software. But DeLorme Earthmate GPS model 9538 v1.0 did not work.

Dear Rory,

I want to thank you for providing a service in which I use to protect the people of Streator, IL. I've have seen other storm spotter on in the field and showed them my Commercial Weather Defender program and they ask me everytime, "Where can I get that!", so I tell them it's quite simple to obtain and provide them with the information. I must admit it feel good to do something I know that will save lives and I want to say I appreciate you helping me do my job better by getting out timely reports to the National Weather Service, in turn gets warnings out much quicker. Again Rory, thank you for this service. Please keep provide quality service and new products in the future.

I Made it through the April 27th tornado's with a little over $32,000 of damage to my home. Where I live we were in the path of the EF-5 Tornado that came through Hackleburg Alabama we live in the Chalybeate Community just outside Moulton Alabama on 298. Me and my wife left our home just minutes before the tornado hit we did so without reliable weather information I wish I knew about your software before hand and we would have been better informed. It took almost 2 hours before we were able to return to our home due to the damage and downed trees the devastation to our community is unbelievable It is miles long and almost over a mile wide.

I have been using WD for a few years now, and have tracked numerous storms, including the one that spawned an EF3 tornado that ripped apart Clarksville, AR. The tornado spawed within two scans of the radar, and was able to notify local EM and co workers on 3rd shit, 3 minutes prior to any national weather service, local television, or local radio announcements. Thanks to Rory and his team I was able to help save the lives of many of my neighbors. Thanks again, Rory and team. Keep up the good work.

As the folks in Minot ND are reminded this week, weather and flood waters don't respect international borders. Storms from the US have dumped huge amounts of water in SE Saskatchewan flooding cities from Weyburn,Sask to Minot ND as the water flows south again.

There are CANWARN volunteers and international storm chasers that look forward to having the Weather Defender data extended north as they chase weather in both directions across the border.

Keep up the good work at Swift Weather. We look forward to more.

I would LOVE the weather station because the weather here changes soooo frequently and I LOVE weatherdefender because I used the free trial and it helped us take shelter when there was a tornado in our downtown and helped save our cars from hail damage AND finally, saved us from getting a bunch of ice on our sloped driveway! WeatherDefender is my software!

Dear Rory,I do not have another website to list. If I'm not chasing storms, then I'm laying in bed resting. My disabilities don't allow me to do much else. My wife and I are simple people, we don't even have one friend between us. She did want me to tell you that she's appreciative for your program, because she feels better know I can stay safe while I'm out trying to protect our great, little city. Thank you Rory for Weather Defender!

                              Sincerely yours,
