Information from this page is intended for GIS analysts and/or advanced alerting customizations.
Usage
This article applies to the COMMERCIAL EDITION of Weather Defender. You must have the COMMERCIAL UPGRADE installed.
Each layer in your map contains unique columns with specific data values. In the Commercial Edition of Weather Defender, these columns can be used to further customize alert settings.
Email Alert Tokens
To customize and Email alert message, use the
{FieldInfo:column} token.
Example (using layer Storm Warnings):
At {Time}, a {FieldInfo:Type} Warning was detected...
Output:
At 3:51 PM, a TORNADO Warning was detected...
Note that fields will only be populated if they correspond to the layer that triggered the alert. If you have many different types of layers being monitored by the same perimeter, the same columns will not always correspond. For example, if both Lightning and Storm Warnings are set to trigger a perimeter, you will not see a Warning type if a lightning strike triggers the alert.
