Winter storm warnings are in place across the entire I-70 corridor

A major winter storm is beginning to create travel problems across a majority of Missouri this evening and through the overnight hours.  Many areas of the state are expecting 6" - 8" of new snow.  The I-70 corridor is already experiencing snow rates of 1 inch per hour.

For those travelers in Missouri, be sure to check road conditions on the MoDot webiste at:  http://www.modot.mo.gov/tim/

Use the "Winter Weather" map in Weather Defender to keep an eye on winter-time advisories, watches and warnings along with where the snow is on the Winterized Radar layer.
